THIS CLV STRAINER DOES NOT FIT ALL 441 & 422 MONITORS 
 
For the Monitor 441 - If you press DOWN on the "reset" or "primer" button on the CLV - this part will work.  If you press IN on the "reset" or "primer" button on the CLV - this part will NOT WORK with your heater.
 
For the Monitor 422 - it is best to take yours out and look at it to be sure you are ordering the correct replacement part.   The press down or in test does not work for all of these units.  
 
Fits: Constant Level Valve Pt # 6469 (Not included in this purchase) Color may vary from photo Inspect Photos Carefully to be sure you are purchasing the correct CLV strainer for your unit

  • It is best practice and recommended by us to clean your CLV strainer each year.  When cleaning or replacing your CLV strainer, using the oil catch will help to drain the oil from the unit.  If you are cleaning the CLV strainer it is best to use kerosene.  You do not want to introduce any water into the fuel system.  

    Very important:  This CLV strainer will fit all Montior 2400s and 2200s.  It will only fit Post 1998 Monitor 441s and Monitor 422s or older ones that have been UPDATED. 

     

    For the Monitor 441:

    • If you press DOWN on the reset or primer button on the CLV - this is the correct CLV strainer for your unit. 
    • If you press IN on the reset or primer button on the CLV - this is NOT the correct part. 

    If you have the older CLV (Monitor 441, 41, 40), you will need part # 6304 CLV Strainer, available in our web store. 

     

    For the Monitor 422:   It is best to take the part out and look at it to see if you are ordering the correct part.  The press down or in test will not work for all of these units.  

    If you have the older CLV (Monitor 422, 22, 21), you will need part # 6106 CLV Strainer, available in our web store.
