Hi. This post is to encourage all owner's of Monitor Heaters, Laser Heaters or Portable Kerosene Heaters to be prepared. Prepared For What? Possible price increases. Heater malfunctions when it is cold. You don't want to have to source and wait for parts, especially if this is your main or only source of heat. Monitor & Laser Heaters last a LONG time, 30+ years. They will require maintenance and repair. We have put together "Prepper Kits" that contain the most used parts. We suggest that every owner have these parts on hand. And for Portable Kerosene Heaters - have an extra Wick at all times. Tip: Please change the in-line filter every year and plug your heater into a dedicated outlet with a quality surge protector . These are inexpensive items that can prevent very costly repairs in the future. You can subscribe to get a new filter shipped every year on our website so you don’t forget to change it. Hi. We want to update you on the evolving tariff situation & give you an opportunity to stay ahead of the upcoming changes. We are expecting price increases on all parts and wicks. Price increases may be minor at first but could very quickly be significant increases. We want to give you an opportunity to visit our website and get the parts to keep your heater in excellent operational condition at the current prices. Monitor & Laser Heaters last a long, long time and will eventually need some TLC. We have a huge selection of individual parts as well as a large selection of gasket kits and tune-up kits for both Monitor and Laser Heaters in our Web Store. You may check out the new kits that I have just put together called "PREPPER KITS." These are made up of the main parts that will need replacement over the years of normal use. I would say that these kits will be able to fix a malfunction over 90% of the time. Hi. This post is to point out some actions you should take to be sure that you are operating your Monitor Heater, Laser Heater or Portable Kerosene Heater safely and efficiently. Monitor Heaters and Toyostove Laser Heaters are very safe and efficient units and there are steps you should take to maximize the safety and efficiency of your unit. Here are a few suggestions: Install a quality Carbon Monoxide detector in your home near your heater. Plug your heater into a dedicated outlet with a quality surge protector. Be sure that there is proper clearance all the way around the heater. This will allow for the most efficient and proper function of the unit. The details on clearance around each heater are explained in your Owner's Manual. If you do not have an Owner's Manual for your heater, they are available in our Web Store or you can contact us for the details for your heater. Change your In-Line Fuel Filter each year to be sure you are burning clean, pure kerosene. Be sure to check for leaks any time that you disconnect and reconnect any fuel line fittings.
